The Danish Refugee Council is closely monitoring and following global public advice in terms of the global outbreak of COVID-19 and is implementing appropriate measures on global, regional and local levels.

DRC is doing our utmost to maintain full operation and is presently redirecting programmes to prepare and respond to COVID-19, including scaling up on our sanitary services, and continues to respond to life-saving needs in the areas where we operate. However, our headquarters in Denmark is currently closed to visits and staff is working from home.

DRC is fully aware of our responsibilities towards both staff and beneficiaries and is taking the necessary safety precautions to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19. DRC is also taking measures to ensure that we can uphold our much-needed access to the vulnerable people we assist, to the extent possible, in case the virus spreads further.
