EU Aid Volunteers Roster

During 2019 DRC will be responsible for the deployment of 62 EU Aid Volunteers to DRC and UNHCR country offices in Africa, Latin America and Europe.

DRC is leading an exciting new EU project aiming at recruiting and deploying volunteers as part of the European Union Aid Volunteers initiative. The project enables EU citizens and long-term residents in EU to upgrade their skills and get involved in international humanitarian aid projects.

From the 62 volunteers, there will be 16 Senior Volunteers (more than 5 years of professional experience) and 46 Junior Volunteers (less than 5 years of professional experience). The main profiles to be deployed will be Protection, Monitoring and Evaluation and Information Management, Code of Conduct/Accountability, and Livelihoods. The initiative covers volunteers’ expenses during the trainings and deployment, including travel costs, insurance, and accommodation. In addition, EU Aid Volunteers will receive a monthly subsistence allowance covering everyday costs such as food, local transport and other expenses.
