Do unaccompanied minors have special rights? 

<p><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW145156651 BCX0">If a child under the age of 18 enters Denmark without parents or any other family and applies for asylum, the child is termed an unaccompanied minor asylum seeker.  </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW145156651 BCX0">As such, the child has special rights including rights that are described in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW145156651 BCX0"> </span> </p>

If an unaccompanied child wishes to be reunited with family, a tracing process can be initiated with the help of the Danish Red Cross.
