Safety Management & Trainings

A responsible Duty of Care requires strategic and encompassing management of safety and risk. DRC's Safety team develops trainings enabling staff and organizations to better understand, act and react to safety and security incidents.

DRCs approach to safety builds on 60 years of working experience in volatile environments. With 9000 staff members across 40 countries our safety advisors are the backbone of DRC Safety. The experience we gain in our day to day work feeds back into our Safety Risk Management System (SRMS), which translates real life cases into a resilient organizational set-up, protecting people living and working in hostile environments.

DRC Safety develops trainings enabling staff and organizations to better understand, act and react to safety and security incidents. Through our diverse team of global safety trainers and in collaboration with technical specialists we have built an extremely strong capacity in the delivery of safety trainings.

From crisis management to first response and safety awareness through to family liaison support, our trainings are all certified and in compliance with international standards. With this in mind, we have successfully executed trainings for UNHCR, ECHO, DFID and other International NGOS as well as private companies.

(W.H. Webster)

The Danish Refugee Council provides a range of opportunities for both companies and organizations to expand and implement safety procedures on both a strategic organisational level and through training in personal safety for employees.
